International Women's Day

Today is International Women's Day, a day when we want to express our respect to all women around the world.

Jansens Overseas also wants to reflect on this beautiful day and wishes all ladies a fantastic day in happiness, love and solidarity.

Springtime

Spring is in full swing and the weather has been very mild these recent weeks.

The flowerbulbs are emerging and some already bloom beautifully, so the season seems to be in full swing, ready to give everyone a happy feeling with this splendour of colour.

King Winter is back for a while today with a small layer of snow, but it will leave soon to give the spring plenty of room.

The Keukenhof has opened its doors on 26^th of March and the “Jansens” Tulip Hill, which is clearly visible upon entering, is gradually coming to bloom.

60,000 Tulips in various colours and flowering times to ensure that the visitor will see beautiful flowering Tulips at all times.

Spring is around the corner

Spring is around the corner, the first Flowerbulbs are gradually coming to bloom (including crocus and galanthus) and King Winter has apparently disappeared to the far north.

This means that the fields with flowerbulbs will show their cheerful colors again in the near future.

The Keukenhof will also open again in March, to show all the beautiful spring blooming Flowerbulbs.

For you and your customers it is also a great opportunity to contribute to this cheerfulness with all kinds of beautiful Flowerbulbs in pots in the quality as supplied by Jansens Overseas.

Tulipday in Amsterdam

Last Saturday the new Tulip (flower) season started.

In Amsterdam, bunches of Tulips were handed out to the shopping public.

The theme this year is "Share Happiness" and the bunches of Tulips, bundled per 2, with the intention that 1 bunch is for yourself and 1 bunch to share with someone else.

This was also accompanied by a Tulip Baptism by a well-known Dutch comedian, Andre van Duin.

Queen Maxima 50th birthday

Today is the birthday of our Queen Maxima.

Many congratulations Your Majesty.

Last week she already celebrated her birthday a little in Keukenhof.

Keukenhof May 2021

Jansens Overseas has been supplying the flowerbulbs for Tulip Hill in Keukenhof for several years now.

This hill is situated right at the entrance of this fantastic, colourful Flower Park.

The hill is now known as the "Jansens Overseas" Tulip Hill.

Unfortunately, due to the problems of date, the Keukenhof was not accessible to the public this year, which is why we like to show you this beauty in this short impression.

Keukenhof April 2021

Jansens Overseas has been supplying the flowerbulbs for the Tuliphill in Keukenhof for several years now. This hill is situated right at the entrance of this fantastic, colourful Flowerpark.

This hill is now known as the "Jansens Overseas" Tulip Hill.

Unfortunately, due to the problems of today, the Keukenhof is not accessible to the public this year, which is why we want to show you it's beauty this way.

IPM Essen 2020

The international trade fair for horticulture IPM Essen 2020 is planned from 28 to 31 January. Like every year, we will participate. Come by for a voluntary orientation conversation. The coffee is ready! Our stand number is Galeria No. 26

Tulip Trade Event 2019

Tulip cultivation in the Netherlands is in the spotlights for three days during the Tulip Trade Event! From 20 to 22 March 2019, exporters and breeders in the Netherlands are combining their open days. This makes the Tulip Trade Event an expanding and colourful display case for tulip cultivation. Over three days visitors can see the entire assortment in bloom, hear about which new trends and cultivation methods are becoming popular and catch up with business relations. IPM 2019

On this international exhibition the latest developments and trends are presented. Get to know the latest creations with plants, innovative technical developments and the trends for the floriculture industry. More than 1570 exhibitors from 45 countries present themselves to the public. Jansen's Overseas BV presents the range for spring 2019.

IPM Essen will take place from 22 to 25 January 2019. We are pleased to welcome you in our stand, stand number GA-26.

Trade Fair Aalsmeer 2018

The Royal FloraHolland Trade Fair Aalsmeer will once again be the epicenter of the floriculture industry for three days. The trade fair will offer space to growers of Royal FloraHolland, breeders, the trade, and to a certain extent suppliers of products of added value to the floriculture industry. The theme of this edition is: 'Connect to Global Growth'. Of course we are present again with a nice assortment in the field of bulbous and tuberous plants.

Hortiflorexpo IPM Beijing 2018

This year, the 20th edition of the Hortiflorexpo IPM will take place in Beijing from 10-12 May. Of course, we are again present to present our wide range to the visitors. Flower Parade 2018

The Flower Parade has attracted an unprecedented number of viewers this year. According to the organization it was because of the beautiful weather busier than ever and has probably the limit of one million visitors passed. This year the Parade's theme was 'Culture'. Jansen's Overseas took part along with Meeuwenoord Vervoer again, accompanied musically by various bands.

Mosaic Lisse 2018

A beautiful tradition returns to ' 't Vierkant' in Lisse: the giant flower mosaic. No less than 25m² in size. More than 200,000 hyacinths put in by 150 volunteers in 500 hours of hard labor. In the mosaic one of the best-known works by the renowned Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher is used: Lucht en Water 1, a work typical of Escher and world-famous that is represented in white , deep blue and middle blue hyacinths. Lions club De Oude Duinen produces this equally spectacular and ambitious project in collaboration with the Bloemenmozaïek Lisse foundation in the festive week prior to the International Flower Parade. With the project money is collected for the Eye Society. Jansen's Overseas is a proud sponsor of this project and supplied the white and blue hyacinths!

Keukenhof 2018

In 2018, Keukenhof’s theme will be "Romance in Flowers". After all, the two are inextricably linked. The most beautiful spring park in the world with its sea of flowers will put you in a romantic, spring mood.

Keukenhof is the international and independent show window of the Dutch ornamental cultivation, with an emphasis on flower bulbs. In seven weeks’ time, from 22 March to 13 may 2018, Keukenhof shows what the Dutch horticulture has to offer.

Jansen's Overseas can be found in the "Willem Alexander Pavilion" and at Garden 24.

This year we will be present as a new participant at the TREx2018.
The Garden Retail Experience (TREx) is a unique annual information and inspiration event for the (inter)national garden retail industry. At TREx,the latest insights and ideas for the sale of living green, garden and decorative articles are shared, with the aim of providing improved service to the customer and improving sales – today, tomorrow, and in the future.

At this event we will show our complete assortment potted raised bulbs to the international retailers. We would be very pleased to welcome you at this event!

Keukenhof 2017

This year's theme on the Keukenhof is: 'Dutch Design'

Dutch Design is characterised by Dutch sobriety combined with innovative solutions.

Keukenhof is the international and independent show window of the Dutch ornamental cultivation, with an emphasis on flower bulbs. In eight weeks time, from 23 March to 21 may 2017, Keukenhof shows what the Dutch horticulture has to offer.

Jansen's Overseas can be found in the 'Willem Alexander Pavilion' and at Garden 24.

Travelling Ecodome

Commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, developed Lodewijk Hoekstra & Nico Wessing from NL Green Label; a Travelling Ecodome. The steel frame of the 'dome' is covered with leaves and moss which can retain moisture for a long time and capture particulates from the air; green is the base.

Jansen's Overseas had the honor to deliver (biological) flowering flowerbulbs. In this diversity of our ecosystem couldn't be lacking any bulbs. (Wild) flowers, fruit trees and a huge, 10 meter high orange calyx made it all to a worthy attraction. It allows visitors to see and experience how green, altogehter, part is of a lifestyle and a healthy environment.

After Amsterdam the Ecodome travels the world with a new sound from the Netherlands: the Netherlands as a sustainable delta.

The 'Salone del Mobile' is the annual international design fair. For over 50 years the event takes place in Milan. The Salone is setting the global standard for exclusive design and quality products.

Under the title Masterly - The Dutch in Milano present Dutch designers, craft manufacturing companies and design offices in the center of Milan.

Jansen's Overseas delivers 15,000 tulips to this fair, where a Dutch pavilion is realized with the best design and traditional craftsmanship that the Netherlands has to offer.
